what is lesbian pulp?
There are a couple different definitions of what constitutes lesbian pulp. Most agree that it is fiction and non-fiction published using cheap pulp paper that has signigicant lesbian content. Most of these were published between 1950 (Women's Barracks) to around 1965. I extend that date to include cheap paperbacks published later that have lesbian content. Some feel that original hard back books that were re-issued into pulp should not be included - because I am interested in the social significance of these books, in particular in how they affected lesbians at the time, I DO include non paper back originals (pbos).
