Christian, Paula. Another Kind of Love, Fawcett, 1959 ; Belmont, 1965 ; Timely, 1978 ; Kensington Books, 2003 (with 'Love is Where You Find It.'
SUMMARY: Fan magazine writer Laura is having an affair with her married boss. She meets Ginny, a young Hollywood actress on the rise, has sex with her, falls in love with her and realizes that she's a lesbian. Ginny won't leave her older Hollywood actress 'mentor' for Laura, so Laura goes to live in New York. After a bit of coming out sex (and one last time with her married boss) she realizes that she does not love Ginny anymore, but does love Madeline, the older and truly much nicer, lesbian with whom she has been living and who has been helping her come out.
OPINION: Somewhat usual Christian story - meaning that there is a lot of inner story about 'am I a lesbian or not?' and 'what does it mean to be a lesbian?' and 'who'se crazy and who isn't and which one am ?' The writing is not bad, and you do care some about the characters even if they do sometimes fall in and out of love awfully fast.
