"She found what she was looking for in the arms of another woman. Now men could no longer hurt her."
"Warped desires of warped women who need no men - a gripping story of love in the shadows and outcast lovers proud of their forbidden passions."
SUMMARY:
Carolyn and Angie live together. Carolyn is the protagonist and Angie plays serious head games – she feels guilty about sex and doesn't take their relationship seriously. Carolyn has a male friend Walter (who I thought she would end up with, but she doesn't!). There is violence and drinking between Carolyn and Angie. Carolyn finally has enough and hits the town to get laid. She picks up on a woman at a lesbian bar and has sex. The woman suggests that her heart wasn't really in it and she might not really be a lesbian. Carolyn then goes to a sleazy part of town (not sure why), meets a seriously wack troll, who rapes her. She then goes to Walter's house. He proposes to her. She has sex with him to prove that he can't excite her (he doesn't), goes to another bar where a sleazy WOMAN comes onto her, is grossed out, goes home, kicks Angie out and decides that man or woman she will find someone to love.
